ATALIAN’s training policy is embedded in the company’s social model: helping staff to grow along with the development of the Group. The ability to train staff adequately is a first step towards well-being at work.
Coaching of new employees
Because we think it is important that a new employee is welcomed in a professional and cordial way in our company, there is a godfather/godmother for everyone.
This godfather/godmother is an experienced employee the new employee can turn to for help with all kind of questions or when he needs practical help. Usually, this godfather/godmother is an experienced colleague, in some cases even the team leader/foreman or the District Manager.
The godfather/godmother takes care of the induction of the new employee and will guide him in his daily tasks during the first month of employment.
The godparenthood is established formally. A first evaluation follows after 1 month and a second review after six months. The evaluations are organized annually.
This induction programme should enable the cleaner to integrate quickly and soundly in the society and to gain the necessary knowledge about the general and site-specific safety requirements, quality guidelines and environmentally conscious behaviour.
Basic training on cleaning
After starting up, every cleaner who possesses a minimum seniority of six months and who works at least 10 hours a week at ATALIAN, will be enrolled in ‘Certified Cleaner’ basic training. This interactive basic training lasts 25 hrs and contains 6 modules, which were all registered with the UGBN Trade Union.
If the cleaner has completed these six modules and successfully passed the final test, he receives the ‘Certified Cleaner’ certificate.
He also receives a number of ‘Certified Cleaner’ pins he can pin up on his work clothing indicating that our employee has successfully completed his training.
