A Stable workforce
ATALIAN has an exceptionally low staff turnover. This is due to several factors:
A correct and always timely remuneration for the work performed.
Staff motivation: ATALIAN implements an internal promotion policy in which competence and professionalism are rewarded. In addition, every year we place our cleaners in the spotlight during the staff party in which both the employees and their families are rewarded for their efforts. On this occasion, the ATALIAN management, of course, lends a helping hand as a token of appreciation.
Our regional structure: ATALIAN is represented in 3 regions (Flanders, Brussels and Wallonia) and 6 Business Units (Ghent, Antwerp, Hasselt, Brussels, Charleroi and Liège) in Belgium. Each Business Unit operates with its own staff. Thanks to this structure, we simplify the communication between our workers and the support of these teams. Clear communication is definitely a means of guaranteeing both the quality of the work and the satisfaction of our workers.
Training: ATALIAN is aware of the importance of ongoing training and invests time and resources in a thorough training for all its employees.
Seniority: The ATALIAN Jubilees are also celebrated during the annual staff party. Loyal employees who have made a career with our company of 10 to 40 years, are no exception. This is once again underlined by the age pyramid we display below, clearly indicating that ATALIAN exerts the necessary efforts to keep older workers, who have a lot of experience, employed.
ATALIAN cleaners can submit their application to grow internally to become a foreman or team leader at specific times
The candidates are screened on their competences during an internal promotion day through selection interviews, a number of tests and role-playing. Candidates with growth potential are selected for the specific training programme that was drawn up in cooperation with the UGBN (General Belgian Cleaning Union). Future team leaders are trained in performing DKS checks, basic First Aid, customer focus, hosting, etc.
Our annual foreman day is the ideal time for additional training and information sessions on new cleaning techniques and other developments in the cleaning sector.
Most of our District Managers were promoted from the work floor. Their thorough knowledge of the cleaning sector, their customer oriented attitude and their long lasting expertise make them the ideal District Manager.
Our executives are constantly trained, ATALIAN provides, 20 h/year training for them on:
– Social legislation
– Staff management
– Time management
– Cleaning techniques
All employees are evaluated every 3 years in accordance with the internal procedures. During this review, the employee or his/her executive may propose additional training to improve his/her function.
Our suppliers also give regular training on products and materials, both on the existing products and material and on innovations. The executives who wish to evolve into a specialist function, can also follow specialist training (e.g.: health care, cleanroom, food, etc.).
